We are so proud of our graduating seniors and each year we feature them with a Senior Spotlight!
We asked each of our seniors a few questions about their time at Shuffles, read Ashleigh Conner’s spotlight below:
What is your plan in the fall? Attending university? Traveling? Performing?
Next year I will be attending the University of Southern California, double majoring in vocal performance and political science! I hope to perform as much as I can, on and off campus next year.
What were your favorite parts/ performance features at Shuffles?
My favorite performance since I’ve joined Shuffles was “13 the Musical” which I did the summer before my freshman year. I was Lucy, and sang “O-P-P Opportunity.” It was SO much fun.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Shuffles?
My favorite memory from my time at shuffles was probably my first time being in Peter Pantomime. I sang “Brand New You” and made so many new friends. This was also my first time really tapping, so it was super exciting. Being a pirate is arguably the best role you could have at shuffles in my opinion.
How has Shuffles impacted you today?
I’ve never been truly dedicated to dance until I joined Shuffles. I had danced before, but never with such passionate teachers and students. I’ve learned so much from Cyndi, Katie, Molly, Gail, and Buddy, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to truly thank them for all that they’ve taught me.
