1. What is your plan in the fall? Attending university? Traveling? Performing? Give me all the deets!!
In the fall I will be attending Syracuse University with a major in Psychology. I also plan on minoring in Linguistics and possibly Art History.
2. What were your favorite parts/ performance features at Shuffles?
My favorite performance and part would have to be my number “Captain of the Team” in the Studio 2024 showcase. Not only was it super fun to collaborate with other members of Studio on such an amazing number, but it was also such a memorable experience walking out in a lion suit and trying not to laugh every time I looked at my family in the audience.
3. What is your favorite memory from your time at Shuffles?
My favorite memory at Shuffles is definitely when we did a white lie T-shirt day in the Studio. Basically, we all wore white T-shirts and wrote a funny lie on them about dance. It was so funny to see everyone’s shirt and how relevant it was to the person and the class.
4. How has Shuffles impacted you today?
Shuffles has impacted my life in many ways. It has given me discipline and perseverance, which has also spilled over into other aspects of my life, teaching me the importance of hard work and determination. Not only that, but the lessons I've learned about teamwork and collaboration from group performances are invaluable. Equally important are the friendships I've made at Shuffles. The shared experiences of successes and challenges have led to deep and meaningful relationships. Overall, Shuffles has been much more than just a place to dance—it has been a pivotal part of my personal growth and development.
It is crazy to think that I will not be dancing at Shuffles anymore, but I know that I will carry with me the lessons, friendships, and experiences that I have gained from being at Shuffles for 14 years.
